slong ba, bslangs pa, bslang ba, slongs trans. v.; to want, wish, ask for; one who asks for something, upheaval [RY]

upheaval/ challenge; to rise up [RB]

(tha dad pa bslang pa, bslang ba, slongs,; 1) arise, make rise/ stand up, raise, erect, put up; 2) don du gnyer ba dang [one who] wants/ ask/ solicit/ beg for, request; 3) incite, provoke, make start [IW]

beg; rgyal po'i lus slong du 'gro dgos snyam - I think I will go and beg the king for his body [RY]

1) to beg, ask, request; 2) to seek, search, strive; 3) to be upright (i.e. have moral integrity); 4) uprightness (i.e. moral integrity); 5) to raise, erect, make rise, stand up, put up; 6) has some connotations with the phrase don du gnyer ba.
