Drogmi Lotswawa (brog mi lo tsa ba) - (993-1050)
One of the primary translators of the Sarma Schools, and main teacher of Konchog Gyalpo, the founder of the Sakya lineage. Drogmi was also one of the first teachers of the Kagyu patriarch Marpa Lotsawa and, like him, studied with many Indian masters. In particular, Drogmi studied with Naropa and Gayadhara. From the latter, he received transmissions from the lineage of the great Indian mahasiddha Virupa - the Lamdrey teachings - which are associated with the Hevajra Tantra.
