Lungten Phuk at Lapchi, Nov. 2005
or just lung stan phug, at Lapchi, the "Prophesied Cave of the Great Forest", situated just below Chöra Gephel Ling monastery. It is situated under a large rock that is shaped like a human heart. According to local history, and to a guide to Lapchi, composed in 1901 by the 34th throne holder (gdan rabs) of the Drikung Kagyu, bstan ’dzin chos kyi blo gros (1869-1906), this cave was not used by Milarepa himself but by a student of Drikung Kyobpa Jigten Sumgon, who prophesied that he would achieve great realisation there.
