Goshri Gyaltsab Rinpoche (rgyal tshab), the regent of the Karmapas at Tsurphu monastery, the seat of the Karmapas in central Tibet. An important lineageholder of the Karma Kagyu tradition. The 1st Gyaltsab Rinpoche was given the honorary title of Goshri by the Chinese emperor. The 2nd Gyaltsab Rinpoche received a red crown from the 7th Karmapa, both as recognition of his outstanding realisation and as a sign of the deep connection between the two. The present Gyaltsab Rinpoche is the 12th incarnation.
