Comment: According to S#er-s#hül L#o-sang-pün-tsok, "smooth" ('jam, maJju) indicates that MaJjushrI is devoid of the roughness of the obstructions to liberation from cyclic existence and the roughness of the obstructions to omniscience. This is not the Bodhisattva MaJjushrI but the one that is the physical manifestation of the wisdom of all Buddhas.
