zhen yul
conceived object; Comment: Although in the past I have translated zhen yul as "referent object," I now use "conceived object." This is to provide separate terms for the difference between (1) a form's being a conceived object of a conceptual consciousness (gzugs sogs rtog pa'i zhen yul yin pa) and (2) a form's being a referent of a conceptual consciousness (gzugs sogs rtog pa'i zhen gzhi yin pa), as the latter is meant when discussed in the context of the object of negation in selflessness.
