Luminosity. A key term in Vajrayana philosophy signifying a departure from Mahayana's over-emphasis on emptiness which can lead to nihilism. According to Mipham Rinpoche, 'luminosity' means 'free from the darkness of unknowing and endowed with the ability to cognize.'
