Shantideva, one of the eighty-four mahasiddha of India. He composed the famous Bodhicharya Avatara (byang chub sems dpa'i spyod pa la 'jug pa), "Engaging in the Bodhichitta's Deeds", and the Shiksa Samucchaya (bslab pa kun las btus pa), the "Collected Precepts" two major texts describing the ideal and practice of a bodhisattva
