Wylie | chos 'byung |
Wylie Definition | Often means 'Dharma origins,' or 'history.' At other times means the dharmodaya, an inverted pyramidal structure that forms a 'star of David' at the top, and underlies the generation of mandalas. It appears in many mandalas between the Vajra wall and the Lotus ring, in the form of an outer white and an inner red circle (the white & red signify emptiness & bliss). For example of a description, see Doboom, Buddh. Path to Enlightenment 57. |
