Several names and notices in the Shel phreng deal with iron oxides, often identified with Limonite : lcags rdo in the meltable medicinal stone section, gru bzhi, btsag, yug and rdo mkhris within the non-meltable medicinal stones, and sin dhu ra in the medicinal earth section.
