1. Dolomiaea costus (Falc.) Kasana & A.K.Pandey (Asteraceae) Costus (Boesi 2014). For West Tibet and Nepal.
2. Dolomiaea souliei (Franch.) C.Shih (Asteraceae) (Wangyal 2020). For East Tibet (Amdo and Kham).
3. Dolomiaea macrocephala DC. ex Royle (Asteraceae) (Lama 2001 Dolpo)

The indian name kuṣṭha denotes Costus, Dolimiaea costus, as well as the Crêpe ginger, Hellenia speciosa, which is called pushkar mu la in Tibetan. In India, pushkarmula denotes Inula racemosa, Indian elecampane, which in Tibetan is called ma nu pa tra. The overlapping use of these names as synonyms in India and in Tibetan gives easily rise to confusion, and the Shel gong dedicates a good part of the notices ma nu pa tra and pushkar mu la to discuss the word meaning.
