dGa' ba'i rDo rje mentions the orthographic variants thing ril (see there for the notice) and mthing ril for the Green Sandpiper. The latter is applied by David Holler (Tibet.birds.com) to the Ibisbill (Ibidorhyncha struthersii), which occurs on the high plateau of Central Asia and the Himalayas.
