Chinese Hashangs

(rgya nag gi hva shang). The term refers here to the followers of a certain Chinese meditation teacher, Hvashang Mahayana, whose view point was refuted by Kamalashila in a public debate during the Early Spread of the teachings. See also Hashang view. [RY]
