Having begun as a simple monk at the Gonchen Monastery, Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo later moved to Dzongsho, a place situated above Dzongsar Monastery in Kham, where he made his residence. This seat was later known as Deshek Dupey Phodrang, the "Palace of the Assemblage of the Sugatas". This is where he lived the latter part of his life. RY
