Guru Dorje Drolö (gu ru rdo rje gro lod) --
Wrathful emanation of Guru Rinpoche / Padmasambhava. One of the Eight Manifistations of the Guru (gu ru mtshan brgyad).
"He manifested in the terrifying wrathful form of crazy wisdom in the thirteen places named Tiger's Nest (stag tshang) binding all the mundane spirits under oath to serve the Dharma and entrusted them to guard the terma treasures. At that time he was named Dorje Drollo."
On one occassion in this form Padmasambhava, flew to Paro Taksang from Khenpajong in northeast Bhutan on the back of a tigress in order to subdue demonic forces.
