Those who follow [Theravada] and eventually become Arhats as a result of listening to the Buddhas and following their teachings. Meaning is literally 'hearer'  "One who has heard the Buddha's teaching."
[[zhing skyong kun dga' gzhon nu]], a dharma protector particularly popular with the [[Nyingma]] and [[Kagyu]] schools. Closely associated with the lineage of the [[Sangye Nyenpa]] Rinpoches and their monastery of [[Benchen]]. He is also considered to be the protector of [[Dewachen]] ([[bde ba chen]]), the pure realm of the buddha [[Amitabha]]. He is considered an emanation of the [[Four-armed Mahakala]] ([[ye shes kyi mgon po phyag bzhi pa]]) who in turn is an emanation of the yidam [[Chakrasamvara]]. His "seat" is at the sacred mountain of [[Tsari]].<br>
The Thangka shown in the picture was painted by the present [[12th Tai Situpa]] when he was very young and given to the former [[9th Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche]].

Shing Kyong Kunga Zhonnu

zhing skyong kun dga' gzhon nu, a dharma protector particularly popular with the Nyingma and Kagyu schools. Closely associated with the lineage of the Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoches and their monastery of Benchen. He is also considered to be the protector of Dewachen (bde ba chen), the pure realm of the buddha Amitabha. He is considered an emanation of the Four-armed Mahakala (ye shes kyi mgon po phyag bzhi pa) who in turn is an emanation of the yidam Chakrasamvara. His "seat" is at the sacred mountain of Tsari.
The Thangka shown in the picture was painted by the present 12th Tai Situpa when he was very young and given to the former 9th Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche.
