[[Demo Rinpoche]], ([[de mo rin po che]]) - see chap.9, note 31. He died of smallpox in 1819. Under his regency Tibet knew a period of peace and prosperity. The regency then fell to a weaker character, [[Tsemön Lingpa]], [[Ngawang Jampel Tsultrim]] ([[tshe smon gling pa ngag dbang 'jam dpal tshul khrims]]), who ruled from 1819 to 1844.
