Discussion
A state of meditation, included within the fourth dhyana, where the meditator has no conception at all and remains in a state of blankness for many aeons, after which they will die and fall to a lower realm. Wrongly considered liberation by outsiders, it is viewed as a great abyss by Buddhist schools.
This, along with the absorption of cessation ('gog pa'i snyoms 'jug), is one of the two mind-free states. DKC
