mental vow; Mipham Rinpoche: yid dang dbang shes kyi 'khor du byung ba'i dran pa dang shes bzhin la yid dang dbang po'i sdom pa zhes pa'i tha snyad mdzad do Mindfulness and alertness, which occur in association with the mental faculty and the consciousnesses of the sense faculties, are given the designation 'mental vow' and 'faculty vow' [respectively].
