Marcus Perman graduated from [http://www.stlawu.edu St. Lawrence] University in 2003 with honors in Psychology and Philosophy and graduated from [http://www.naropa.edu Naropa University] in 2007 with an MA in Indo-Tibetan Buddhism focused on Tibetan and Sanskrit languages. He joined the Nitartha Translation Network ([http://www.nitarthatranslation.org NTN]) in the summer of 2007. In the fall of 2007-2008 Marcus studied at Tibet University in Lhasa, Tibet and Rumtek, Sikkim, India. His interests lie primarily in philosophical interpretations of Tibetan Buddhism and studies of tshad ma (skt. pramāṇa). “Tshad Ma Literature: Towards a History of Tibetan Buddhist Epistemology” was presented at the 8th Annual Buddhist Studies Graduate Student Conference on October 14, 2006  [http://www.uwest.edu/bbs/zboard.php?id=news_notices&page=1&sn1=&divpage=1&sn=off&ss=on&sc=on&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=41 BSGSC 2006]. Other interests include comparative philosophy, writing pedagogy, and rock climbing.
