Hevajra (Tibetan kye rdo rje) is a deity practice belonging to the Vajrayana Buddhist tradition. His consort is Nairatmya. Hevajra is a principal tantric teaching deity in the Sakya Tibetan Buddhism tradition, but the practice is also preserved in the other Tibetan Buddhist schools.
The Hevajra tradition is collected into sets of texts, of which the Hevajra Root tantra that is in the Kangyur collection is the most important.
The Hevajra practice plays an important role in the Sakya Lamdre practice system.
