He had numerous Termas and was also influential in the preservation of the teachings of the Barom Kagyu school. Terchen Barwey Dorje was the older brother of Lady Dega, the main consort of Chokgyur Lingpa. From the moment he offered her to him, he served him until Chokgyur Lingpa passed away.
