(med) tig ta plants are subdivided in 3 types according to their origin, and further sub-types types. The 3 types are rgya tig, Indian tig ta, bal tig, Nepalese tig ta, and bod tig, Tibetan tig ta. For the tibetan ones, 6 sub-types are described : sum cu tig, ser tig, dngul tig, zangs tig, lcags tig and gur tig.
