According to Jam-dpal's description rather the ordinary House mouse (''Mus musculus'') than a black House rat (''Rattus rattus'') or the wild brown rat (''Rattus norvegicus''). But the names mouse and rat are common names, according to the animal size. They can be applied to different species and genera. <br>
