[[zhing skyong kun dga' gzhon nu]], a dharma protector particularly popular with the [[Nyingma]] and [[Kagyu]] schools. Closely associated with the lineage of the [[Sangye Nyenpa]] Rinpoches and their monastery of [[Benchen]]. He is also considered to be the protector of [[Dewachen]] ([[bde ba chen]]), the pure realm of the buddha [[Amitabha]].<br>
Those who follow [Theravada] and eventually become Arhats as a result of listening to the Buddhas and following their teachings. Meaning is literally 'hearer'  "One who has heard the Buddha's teaching."
The Thangka shown in the picture was painted by the present [[12th Tai Situpa]] when he was very young and given to the former [[9th Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche]].
