The Medical Thangkas show 3 non identified birds together, ti rig, gu ling and zas chen. They are wetland species, but don't have the webfeet of true waterbirds. 'Jam-dpal doesn't describe them, but mentiones them together within the notice of Cattle egret (skyar mo) in a quote referring to the bai sngon : bai sngon du ti tig gu ling zas chen ma zhes pa bsam gtan chos drug gi nang tshan gcig te chu skyar zer.
'chu skyar is the name for gulls or even all fish-eating water bird in general' (David Holler, Tibetbirds.com)
