Silver ore is a generic term for ore containing commercial quantities of silver. This may be in the form of native silver, silver sulphides or chlorides, or it may even be silver-rich galena or other minerals containing a workable percentage of silver (mindat.org).
Acanthite is the low-temperature modification of silver sulphide (as Argentite above 177°C). The tarnish on sterling silver is chemically the same as acanthite. Widespread in silver deposits (mindat.org).
Pyrargite, Antimonial silver blende, is a deep red or red-grey translucent mineral (mindat.org)
