Milarepa. (1040-1123). One of the most famous yogis and poets in Tibetan religious history. Much of the teachings of the Karma Kagy� schools passed through him. For more details read The Life of Milarepa and The Hundred Thousand Songs of Milarepa (Shambhala Publications). His name means 'Cotton-clad Mila.' [RY]
