bright vermilion, also a synonym for synthetic vermilion [RY]

(med) Cinnabar, Mercury sulfide (HgS). Synonyms : cog la/lcog la, mtshal, rdo mtshal, rgya mtshal, da chu, ka shar na zer, tam ka na dang (Yeshi 2018). Principal ore of mercury (see dngul chu) and may be confused with litharge or minium (see li khri). Several mining sites in Central Tibet. Vermillion is artificially produced cinnabar. (mindat.org)
(med) Litharge, Lead(II) oxide PbO (Yeshi 2018). Yeshi has 'tshal dkar instead of mtshal dkar for cinnabar, but also mtshal, rgya mtshal and rdo mtshal Johannes Schmidt (talk) 21:26, 20 November 2021 (UTC)
