Origins of shog ser?

In Bhaktapur Nepal they still make some handmade paper containing orpiment (བ་བླ་) (arsenic sulphide) to prevent texts being eaten by rodents. This also colours the paper a vivid yellow ~ and I suspect this is the origin of shog ser. Chris (talk) 03:37, 9 August 2022 (EDT)
