soda, white powder, slow, dilatory, lazy, valley, ravine, kind of soda obtained from the northern deserts of tibet [JV]

Natural salt medicine. Trona (Na3H(CO3)2 · 2H2O) derives ultimately from the Arabic "natrum", native salt. Minerals of sodium carbonate or -hydrogencarbonate. Occurs in saline lakes and their evaporites; efflorecences on soils in arid regions (mindat.org).
