In the Old World, members of this genus are called "buzzards", but "hawk" is used in the New World. As both terms are ambiguous, Buteo is sometimes used instead. Species whose range cover Tibet and the Himalayas are e.g. Himalayan Buzzard (Buteo refectus), Eastern Buzzard (Buteo japonicus), Long-legged Buzzard (Buteo rufinus, wintering area) and the Upland Buzzard (Buteo hemilasius). The last one is the biggest species in the genus, it breeds from Siberia and Mongolia down to Bhutan and Nepal and nesting from 1000 to 4500 m. It's main prey on the Tibetan Plateau are voles, pikas and small birds. They can fall victim to the Eurasion Eagle-owl or the Golden Eagle (wikipedia).
