Petauristini is the tribe of Flying squirrels. They actually do not fly, but are able to glide with the aid of a furred skin membrane that stretches from wrist to ankle. Most of the 15 genera are found in wooden habitats in southern and eastern Asia. (wikipedia).
The Chinese Pharmacopoeia prescribes the Flying squirrel Trogopterus xanthipes for the drug Excrementum Trogopteri seu Pteromi.
