བཀའ་ཆེན།

one who observes the ten precepts (the highest learned degree given by the philosophical faculty of Tashi Lhunpo Monastery). 1) the title or academic degree awarded at Tashi Lhunpo monastery. 2) equivalent to the Geshe Degree. one who observes the Ten Precepts [the highest learned degree]. (RY)
