Kriyatantra; activity tantra, tantra as activity; Action Tantra; Abbr. of bya ba'i rgyud. Lowest of the four levels of Tantra. (RY)

action tantra, mystic ritual, Kriyatantra, tantras concerned with ritual, kriyayoga, 1 of phyi rgyud sde gsum. (JV)

In the Kagyu tradition, this is described as the class of tantras which is primarily concerned with external actions such as keeping clean; giving up eating meat, garlic, and onions; and so forth. DKC
