A view of the "Crest-Cave" on Lapchi mountain, Nov. 2005

The crest cave (ze phug) of Jetsun Milarepa, the highest of Milarepa's retreat caves at Lapchi, at an altitude of about 4500m. To the right of it, and slightly up the mountain, he left a clearly visible footprint in the rock. To the left is a small spring which is said to be an offering of the Four-armed Mahakala to Milarepa, when he was in retreat there and ran out of water. [TSD]
