Having begun as a simple monk at the Gonchen Monastery, [[Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo]] later moved to Dzongsho, a place situated above Dzongsar Monastery in [[Kham]], where he made his residence.  This seat was later known as [[Deshek Dupey Phodrang]], the "[[Palace of the Assemblage of the Sugatas]]" ([[bde gshegs 'dus pa]]).  This is where he lived the latter part of his life.
