Brief History[edit]

Once, Jamyang Kyentse Wangpo (1820-1892) had a talk with the 10th Kenting Tai Situpa. He said, "I fail to do any help for your dharma teachings this life, but, certainly I would like to make a wish to contribute my next life generously to your dharma activities."

Palpung Khyentse (1896-),or Jamyang Khyentse Ozer, considered to be the main speech incarnation of the great Jamyang Khyentse Wangpo, was born as the son of Gonpo Dudul, the ruler of Beri in Trehor, who was a close disciple of Jamgon Kongtrul. Because of his origin he was also known popularly as Beri or "Beru" Khyentse.
