or just lung stan phug, at Lapchi, the "Prophesied Cave of the Great Forest", situated just below Chöra Gephel Ling monastery. It is situated under a large rock that is shaped like a human heart. According to local history, and to a guide to Lapchi, composed in 1901 by the 34th throne holder (gdan rabs) of the Drikung Kagyu, bstan ’dzin chos kyi blo gros (1869-1906), this cave was not used by Milarepa himself but by a student of Drikung Kyobpa Jigten Sumgon, who prophesied that he would achieve great realisation there. Lapchiwa Namkha Gyaltsen (1372-1437) did his first retreat there when he first came to Lapchi. [RY][TSD]
