Three Protectors of the Gelugpa Tradition

These three are: (1) Namsey (rnam sras), for beings of lesser faculties, (2) Damchen Chogyal (dam can chos rgyal), for beings of medium faculties, and (3) Gonpo Chadrukpa, the Six-armed Mahakala (mgon po phyag drug pa), for beings of highest faculties.
