Also well known as Lama Shang (1123-1193), he was a disciple of Dakpo Gomtshul (dwags po sgom tshul tshul khrims snying po, 1116-1169) and founder of the Tsalpa Kagyu school, one of the Four Greater Kagyu Schools. His works are presently available in nine volumes.
