(med) Acanthite, Silver sulphide AgS (Yeshi 2018). Acanthite is the low-temperature modification of silver sulphide (as Argentite above 177°C). The tarnish on sterling silver is chemically the same as acanthite. Widespread in silver deposits (mindat.org).
