The fortress, the ravine and the life-force; means that the fortress of the view (lta ba'i rdzong) is the recognition of awareness, the ravine of meditation (sgom pa'i 'phrang) is the visualization manifesting as undistracted awareness display and the life-force of the action (spyod pa'i srog) is the application of the ritualistic procedures (lag len) [RY]
