[[Geshe Chekawa]] ([[1101]] - [[1175]]) is the author of the famous [[Lo Jong]] text called [[Seven Point Mind Training]]. He belonged to the so called [[Kadampa]] tradition, the second wave of Buddhists in Tibet that was founded by the Indian master [[Atisha]]. According to the tradition he was inspired by the [[Lo Jong]] text called [[Eight Points for Developing the Good Heart]] by [[Dorje Senge]], especially the last eight verse, and travelled to meet [[Dorje Senge]]. However, [[Dorje Senge]] had passed, and he received the instructions from [[Sharawa]].
