*According the transmission lineage of Semde ([[sems sde]]), Nagarjuna Garbha, the son of a brahmin householder, was foretold in numerous sutras and tantras. He accomplished the [[Great Peacock]] dharani mantra and the alchemy of transforming base metal into gold through which he was able to benefit others. This bodhisattva who had attained the seventh level also composed the scripture on the Great Perfection known as ([[byang chub kyi sems kun bsdus]]). He in turn taught [[Samanta]]. [RY]
