There is some dispute about the reincarnation of the 7th Dzogchen Rinpoche. Both of the following lamas have been recognized as such:
- Dzogchen Rinpoche Jikme Losal Wangpo - recognized by the fourth Dodrupchen Rinpoche Thupten Thrinle Palzang and confirmed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
- Dzogchen Rinpoche Tenzin Longdock Nyima - currently resides at Dzogchen Monastery in Eastern Tibet.
