Constance E. Wilkinson has a BA from SUNY at Old Westbury (Planting Fields Experimental College) and a Master of Fine Arts (creative writing/poetry) from Sarah Lawrence College.  She worked for Betty Kray at the Academy of American Poets in New York, and founded and ran an experimental theater, Kukuryku, in New York City, for many eyars.  She wrote, taught and performed at the Cloud Chamber and at theater festivals in the USA and Europe.

She attended the Vajradhatu Vajrayana Seminary of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche in 1981 at Bedford Springs, and studied further in Nepal from 1984 to 1993.  She taught English at the American English Language Institute in Kathmandu, studied Nepali at Tribhuvan University, and Tibetan at the Marpa Institute of Translation in Boudhnath. She also worked as a writer for Nepal Traveller, Asia Travel Trade, and as an editor for development projects.

She later earned an MA in clinical mental health counseling from Lesley University; she nows works as a licensed psychotherapist specializing in treating child and adult survivors of trauma.

Her plays "Sacco and Vanzetti Meet Julius & Ethel Rosenberg!! (or, Patrick Henry in Hell)" and "Mister Cripple Kicks the Bucket" premiered off-off Broadway in New York City. Her play, You Only Hurt the One You Love, has been workshopped at the Extreme Off-Off Broadway Alliance in Kathmandu, Nepal and at Cape Rep in New England.
