Dzongshö Desheg Düpe Phodrang

Another important seat of Jamgön Kongtrul Lodrö Thaye in eastern Tibet. This place is sacred to Guru Rinpoche, Yeshe Tsogyal and Lotsawa Vairocana. Their practice caves can be found there. Many self-arisen designs and shapes can be found all the around the mountains and rocks. It is here where Kongtrul arranged most of his collection of Terma teachings, the famous Rinchen Terdzo. The three-year retreat center there focuses upon the practices and teachings of the Shangpa Kagyu tradition.
