མགོན་དཀར
lit. "white protector"; refers mostly to the protector known as "mgon dkar yid bzhin nor bu" or the "White Protector Wish-fulfilling Jewel", a special form of the Six-armed Mahakala who is the protector of the Shangpa Kagyu tradition, included among the "Thirteen Empowerments of the Protector." The two skeleton deities popular among some Tibetan traditions, commonly known as "dur khrod bdag po" or "Lords of the Cemetery", are also occasionally referred to as "mgon dkar." [TSD]
