A conch-like shell. The watersnail shells dung and shang ka shi la as well as oystershells/mother of pearl are classified as medicinal precious substances, the shells dung 'dra as medicinal stones and the mollusc 'bu skyogs (synonym dung 'dra) as medicinal animal. The Shankha associated with Vishnu is a shell from the sea snail species Turbinella pyrum or any other suitable sea snail to make an instrument.
